OMG Sisters was such an amazing show! Also, I never imagined that The River Wild would sell out anywhere. That’s crazy! (Even though I love Meryl Streep like crazy)

I did some checking and unfortunately it wasn’t from the Houston Press and that means I’ll never find it. I came across Clifford Pugh’s write up in the Chronicle and he mentioned that Keanu hung out at Numbers until he was cornered by girls who asked him to sign autographs on there body parts with lipstick. He then ran away to the tour bus. I remember the review I was looking for was mainly about the audience (mostly girls) and not the band. I think that’s why it cracked me up so much. I seem to recall they made fun of Keanu for picking up his mike stand after he knocked it over. They pointed out that he should have let the roadies pick it up for him. The review also commented that the girls in the crowd were hoping the band wouldn’t be too good, so that Keanu would get back to making movies.

That’s awesome that you knew Clooney before Clooney was cool. And also that you said “frosts my cookies.”

I miss that airport sense, of being there without traveling anywhere but still reveling in the commotion. No more, thanks to security.

Speaking of Keanu, does anybody in Houston ever remember reading an extremely funny review of Keanu’s band Dogstar concert at Numbers in the 90′s? I can’t remember if I read it in Houston Press or someplace else, but it was the funniest concert review I have ever read and I can’t seem to find it online anywhere. Hope I’m not offending any Dogstar fans out there.
