I didn’t like chemistry in high school or college either. I don’t know why they can not figure out a better way to teach the subject. Just happy I passed.

It appears your Keanu obsession interfered with your memory. You left things everywhere! And I remember the Ashur days!!! Plus, I obsessed over grades, too. I didn’t keep a journal, but assure me, I obsessed. I particularly obsessed over clarinet grades, despite the fact that I would ALWAYS get an “A” in band.

sally, re: tests, I KNOW, RIGHT? looking back, i can’t believe i actually survived the stress of high school. then again, maybe no one else obsessively recorded their grades in their journal because they were too busy having a Real Life with Real Boys, etc. etc.

julie, thanks for believing that i wasn’t creepy. i, too, find it hilarious. in a kind of mortifying way.

oooh now i wanna do a whole post where i collect people’s driver’s ed stories! i think i will!

I’m not so scared of the Keanu stuff; I cannot throw stones because I religiously watched Days of Our Lives (Dayz for those in the know). But seriously, this constant test score keeping is what I find so frightening! Also, why were you having so many tests? WTF?!

Locking your bag in the car totally blows, but to make old wounds heal, I wanted to tell you about my driver’s ed horrors. My driver’s ed teacher was an 35 year old high school football burnout who tried (and sometimes succeeded) at having sex with the high school girls. The day that my driving partner was sick was on of the worst days of my life! Inappropriate comments everywhere!!

if I didn’t know you, your keanu taping would seem creepy. but knowing you, and translating that to a teenage version of you, it seems like a cute and hilarious thing to do.

it is somewhat horrifying to me that you (and therefore i) took drivers ed 16 years ago. holy cow. wait – 15 years ago! that still feels like an unbelievably large number… alas.
