Happy Birthday Erica!!

We were just at Dave and Buster’s last month for a birthday party and it was way fun!! I got like 200 tickets from a broken game and the jumpin jackpot totally kicked my ass! I did see a little girl OWN it though. Also, we got a bunch of Care Bears with our tickets.

My friend Pete used to work at Planet K, and some random little medicine-shot that is supposed to prevent hang overs sponsored a corporate party there. IT WAS AWESOME. We got unlimited tokens and all the free appetizers and cocktails we wanted off the menu. We ate and drank every possible combination, and then tried the hang over preventative and proved it sorely inept the next day, although to be fair we were testing it with things like Long Island Iced Tea and some repulsive Watermelon Pucker concoction mixed with cheese fries and hot wings.

Anyway, we also played all the games and got a massive amount of tickets that went towards, yep, shot glasses.

Ahh, the old D&B. When I was 10 a.k.a. back in the single dad days, my father used to take my little brother and I there like other parents took their kids to Chili’s. There and Hooters, actually.

This has nothing to do with any of that, but this is my first comment from the desktop computer which now lives in my condo. It’s the same computer that used to live in my office, so it’s no big deal, but now I don’t have to tread the day when I have to move this thing around!

At least, not for another couple of months, when I’ll have to move it back into my office. But that will be okay, because I’ll also move a decanter of Scotch back to that office.

Just to give you something to aspire to, I have seen the Jackpot defeated.

There’s a Jumpin Jackpot at this D&B-like place near Willowbrook, and I saw a high school kid with exceptional skill take care of business in a serious way.

Oh man, one thing I’ll miss about Colorado is that in Denver they have Casa Bonita. Famed from the South Park episode about it, it really is everything the South Park episode says it is and more. Imagine an even hokier Dave & Busters with mediocre Mexican food, but yummy sopapillas, someone in a gorilla suit sporting boxers wandering around, a cool pirate-themed dive show, a spooky pirate cave you can walk through, *and* the arcade. If you ever find yourself in Denver you’ve gotta check it out.
