I enjoyed QoS. The only criticism I have is that I didn't like the Bond Girl as much as I liked Eva Green. And the scenes with the Bond girls were a bit tame for my taste.

As for Star Trek my nerd is going to be showing before and after this movie. It looks great. I've been a Trekker for a long time. I am also one of the 25 people who thought DS9 was the best one. And I like it more than Star Wars so I really hope it's good

I'm quite looking forward to the new Trek film. I'm hoping against hope that maybe it'll show up at BNAT. I admit that I'm a big Star Trek geek. I used to watch TNG every Saturday night in Jr High. That space for the party looked much better than a vacated Salvation Army interior. When I first saw the wideshot of the room I thought it was some hoity-toity downtown loft... so success to whoever set the room up!

Also, the Electric Six video? AMAZING.

You two are so classy! Sarah, you've especially honed the one arched eyebrow look. Very spy-like! But more importantly- What would your Bond Girl name be?

Ok, the Bond party looked like fun, though I am pretty sure you didn't like the movie, your fandom won't let you admit it!! I know I must have the same thing with something else but I can't think of it right now... the comfort of enjoying something even if you know it's not that good really.

Now, links....

Milk Electric Six = YES, apparently.

But Star Trek... I want to like it... seeing future Iowa corn fields and the Enterprise under construction is pretty bloody exciting, but the cast, ugh. Really. It's like Tiny Toons for Star Trek. And why do Kirk and Uhura have to be all sexy time? I mean, I get that they're the two most sexual characters, it just seems needless to me.

I don't like the premise. And I suspect JJ Abrams is a one trick pony.

hmm, i guess my "fierce" face just looks like "angry" face. either way, i'm ready for stealth and combat!

todd, you saw a thiebaud in real life! i love how the paint looks so much like icing (but no, i've never licked the canvas, that's rude).

ALSO, OMG SQUEE THAT BABY HAMSTER LOVES BROCCOLI SO MUCH!!! My little Republican step-sister, Lynsey, once had a hamster that hated broccoli so she named him George Bush (the elder, who apparently hated broccoli?).

And this is a bit of a non-sequitur, but I had cheesecake for breakfast and now my tummy hurts.

You look so angry in most of these pictures! Very Vesper Lynd. Matt and I are going to see Quantum of Solace this weekend, but since Vesper Lynd is the BEST BOND GIRL EVER (OMG, their smooth exchange on the train is on par with Casablanca as far as fantastically cool one-liners go), I already know I won't like it as much as Casino Royale.

That Electric Six video made me really want milk, and long white hair. Also, YES to the Star Trek trailer. I wonder where young James T. Kirk got what I'm assuming were multiple cars to drive off of cliffs? Cuz, you KNOW that wasn't the first time he did that.

So I was in Wisconsin this past weekend. Mainly Sheboygan, but we flew out of Milwaukee, so we stopped in to see the art museum there for a few hours. I was walking around, enjoying the space, when I saw this painting of pie slices. It looked very familiar to me. I wanted to tell someone I'd seen it on your blog, but there was no online comment form for me to fill out, there in the museum. That's why your blog is in some ways better.
