I loved this post!! People always look at me askance when I talk about how much I love Texas, but I do! For pretty much all the reasons that you so wonderfully wrote about! There are other places I love – I’ve probably never felt so at home as I did in London – but I love Texas. The big open spaces, the leisurely outdoor time and, yes, even the rodeo made it a really great place to grow up.

Also I want Jordan’s mom to come plan my LIFE.

So close, yet so far away.

I absolutely loved this post and how well it represents everything Texas. It’s so incredible to see other people have so much fun. That food looked incredible, by the way and the government needs to use some of that bailout money to buy everyone hammocks. Think of how many sound, wise decisions the hours of relaxation will produce.

The Palin gig on SNL was incredible. I can’t believe they put so much time into her appearance. Amy Poehler’s rap might have been the best thing she’s done all season and thinking that she’s almost done with the show while watching that sketch nearly killed me. I wonder if Tina Fey will be back at least one more time before election day. I know we have to Thursday night eps, but are they going to have a new SNL this weekend or the next? Killer.

Hah, before even reading Henri’s comment, I was like, “Yeah, Henri DEFINITELY did the old tongue touch first.”

That weekend looks incredible! OMG, GIFT BASKETS!?! How come you didn’t talk more about the gift baskets?? Plus cheese centerpieces are pretty much Erin C’s religion.
