Mmmm those cupcakes look nummy nummy. Good for her for leaving the glamorous world of engineering to devote herself to making others happy through intoxicating goods. I can identify. Meredith and I would be happy to support her dream.

I'm not a huge frosting fan either. As a child, I used to trade my cake frosting with the other kids for their cake--both parties probably thought they were getting the better end of the deal. I think I win because they probably have diabetes now.

Those cupcakes look amazing! I am drooling on my keyboard. I think a trip to Austin is in order, stat!

Also, I loved that live-action version of Alice in Wonderland. It was scary but I thought if I could make it through the Jabberwocky scenes, then I was so grown up. I wish I could buy it on DVD.

Wait. You're obsessed with cupcakes, have pictures of cakes all over your apartment, and you DON'T LIKE FROSTING??? You are cray.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not a crazy frosting fan, either, but that's why I very rarely go eat cupcakes, or cakes of any kind. As soon as creme brulee enjoys this hipster dessert renaissance that cupcakes have been swooning into for the past five years, though, I'm down.

As for Alice in Wonderland, "Jam tomorrow, jam yesterday - but never, ever jam today" has been stuck in my head for 23 years. And I wrote that before clicking on that link and seeing that OF COURSE that's the clip that's posted on JZ. "The Lion and the Unicorn" song has been stuck in my head this whole time, too.

I would definitely have gone with the cupcake that Erica F. chose. I guess I'm marrying the right woman.

I want the recipe for cinnamon cupcakes. I like making cupcakes ALMOST as much as eating them... Yum. Thanks for your research!

Ok, about Carol Channing: Two years ago, my friend Meghan and her friend M.E. introduced me to this crazy clip. It is I.N.S.A.N.E. But awesome. But I never watched it as a child. The best part of that clip is how scared the little girl is by this exorcism, or whatever you want to call it.

Re interrogation, there are several sources for some other methods (including Russian and Israeli--with their past experience in interrogating Muslims), although the Chinese thing with the chart is really interesting/weird/scary. I read about this a lot when I was a paralegal.

I must try this place out. Reading the story of it kind of reminded me of the Waitress movie except that instead of pies it was cupcakes. I'm excited about a new Huey Lewis song but not so much for Pineapple Express. Call me a square (It is still hip to be one right?) but I don't normally find stoner movies that funny and I must say Judd Apatow has been putting out so many hits (badoom boom) lately that pretty soon one has to not be so good.

I think as a former scientist, I need to back up your research with some research of my own. Cinnamon cupcakes? I'm so there.
