While Black Walnut’s menu leaves a lot to be desired, their food is pretty freaking good – esp cause it only costs about 12.472985 plate, on average.

Their gelato and desserts aren’t too bad, either. If you ever see Palotta’s in the Woodlands (there used to be one on 1960 & Jones), they’re owned by the same people. There’s another BW in the Woodlands, too.

Before you cast off all things Black Walnut, give their food/desserts a chance. Your love for the tastiness may outweigh the disdain for irrational menu practices.

Sarah, I think you might have dropped the ball on this one. You were the first big influence in my college career, and I never saw an episode of Buffy until about two years later. I’m glad I found my own way, anyway!

oh and erin, henri and i totally made fun of the prices too. that was literally the dumbest menu i have ever seen. i never want to go back there. NEVER.

p.s. do you remember what was there before? for a minute i thought baker street was gone (hallelujah!), but then i noticed that it was one store over. the frat boys prevail.

On the menu for that Black Walnut place, what the f is up with the prices for quiche? Do they seriously charge in tenths of a cent? Because it looks like the Broccoli and Bacon quiche is $5.749. What is this, a gas station?
