John : Pink shirts are awesome. Kanye’s “fashion sense” during the show was horrible, though. Lupe destroys Kanye in every way except lighting effects, and fashion is mos def part of that.

John Again : U2 sucks. Always has. Anything good they did back in the Joshua Tree days automatically got erased forever as soon as they released the video for Beautiful Day.

Everybody : Rihanna is talented, and her part of the show was actually my favorite. Good staging, theatricality, and she could actually sing and perform instead of just standing on a light up stage. But hot? Nope. Her body looks like it was put together from mismatched parts, like she was a Barbie doll that got put together wrong at the plant, so she has Ken’s legs and a Bratz face. Pharrell, on the other hand, is weird looking but still hot. But his anger at anyone who sat down was totally more than what was necessary, whereas Justin’s charm and stage presence last year was perfect. So yes, Justin wins again.

Now Justin versus Lupe? That’s where I’d get a little confused. I’d love to see them do something together, though. Especially because then Lupe could lose that Matthew Santos douchebag.

Okay, I’m sorry, but I can’t get on the Mandy Moore train. Just, no way.

Erin, I don’t think he even looks effeminate, although pink is always dodgy. He just looks silly.

And as for ’stadium’ music, check out anything at Slane Castle in Ireland. It’s basically a stadium atmosphere with a castle in the background for no real reason. The Chili Peppers have a DVD out from a few years ago when they played there.

John, that’s cause Kanye is UNAFRAID TO BE EFFIMENATE. He’s just that fierce.

I am so, so, so jealous. What are the chances I could get tickets to the show tonight in less than six hours? (And for less than a hundred bucks?)

Although, Sarah, I agree. Anytime I go to a big stadium show, I’m left thinking, “but, my ribs are unbruised! I’ve not danced with random strangers! The tour manager has not bought me a drink! This show sucks!”

matt, we weren’t allowed to take pictures (officially), so i didn’t bring my camera (plus it was dark). but the boys in front of us (as henri pointed out) filmed like, the entire show on their cell phones. which is awesome, cos the footage will be worthless. but henri thinks it would still impress their friends at school the next day, so i guess it counts for something.

randy, i love kanye, but he is no n*sync. his lighting effects were better, but did he have an after party at t-town 2000? no, he did not.*

*actually, his after party was at pangea, which is wildly appropriate.

I guess I just don’t understand fashion, but why oh WHY is Mr. West wearing a pink jumper in that photograph? It’s alarming.

And U2-haters need to chill out. Bono-haters I can understand. And their last couple of albums qualify as crimes against humanity. But they are amazing live.

I honestly can’t believe there was no vehement and over-explanatory denial from Henri about Pharrell being hotter than JT. Maybe because HE TOTALLY IS. Yums.

Also, Matt is so in love w/ Rihanna. I sometimes think she looks like a bug, but a hot bug.
