hallo from santa fe, where everything is adobe (seriously).
here’s henri, “enjoying” cadillac ranch. note: pictures may be worth a thousand words, but no picture could capture how FREEZING COLD IT WAS. SWEET FROZEN MOSES. thus, henri’s facial expression.

we ate lunch in las vegas, new mexico at a fifty-seven year old place called estella’s cafe, where two eight year old girls give you menus, bus tables then leave to get some ice cream. yeah, it was pretty great.

and then IT SNOWED!!!!! on ME!!! LOOK!!!

snow can get a little frustrating when you’re behind the wheel, but when it’s falling softly on yr coat and hat and nose, it’s the most charming thing in the world.
tomorrow: snowboarding! i really, really hope nothing inside of me breaks.

Oh my God, Sarah — please, PLEEEEEASE be safe on the slopes. Seriously, I do not want to be forced to FedEx any leg immobilizers or knee braces or OxyContin your way. Oh, and don’t forget the extra $5 on your ski pass for insurance…
Wow, that picture of it snowing made me think for one minute..oh man I wish I still lived in New York to get some snow, then I remembered the way it gets all slushy, and cold, and you have to layer up so much to go inside a heated place to then have to wrap yourself up again to move locations…SOOO Glad I live in texas and the closest thing we have to snow is the Ice Storm of 07. But enjoy the snow.
pretty snow…
yeah, i agree with erica, snow is pretty for about fifteen minutes and then it’s COLD.
have fun and be safe.
I’m sure my *tag* on the cadillac ranch is now gone, but let me tell you it was awesome.
P.S. Marfa, Monday: High 65 Low 25 !!! 40 degree difference!
i just got back from snowboarding in california. texans should definitely not be snowboarding.
