You morons…..books don’t sell good because of marketing – they sell good because of word of mouth. Maybe if you knew some of his background you would appreciate his writing and where he is coming from, because some of what he is saying comes from his personal experiances…..like – did you know his sister died from a brain tumor? his father was killed in a car wreck? he lost his mother in young adult hood? just because you don’t have the intellect to appreciate a good book – does not mean its a bad good. maybe you should stick to Dr. Suess?

Hi there. I just wanna say this:You know nothing about books, and you really know nothing at all about Nicholas Sparks books. I bought all his books and i love them all. so when you want to criticize him think twice because he’s just the best writer in America , and you are just a stupid girl who know nothing about writers.

P.S.Go read magazines and newspapers.maybe you can learn something.or not.

Nicholas Sparks is a very poor writer. The only reason his books sell so well is because of great marketing. “The Notebook” was horrible. It made for a great movie though. I think the reason it is upsetting for people like me is that we know that he is a fraud. There are great writers who do not get published, and then there is this guy. What a waste of time.

dude,a walk to remember was extremely good.and why are you acting like her having cancer is so common in books?its very uncommon.most people would have been expecting them to live forever together,but no,she dies,and he lives on.plus it wasnt even sappy and gushy.they only kissed three time,held hands like five,and besides that,for the first half of the book he didnt even make a move.it was a great book and a great movie.and the notebook was as well.and you’re so dumb.authors don’t make millions of dollars on books,even if they are best sellers.and don’t be pissed at nicholas sparks just because he actually got to become a successful writer.and don’t compare your crap to his.it got rejected,his didn’t.get over it.and there weren’t even any spelling errors in the book either, dumbass. and the book was published in 1999,not 2002,get your facts right.don’t ever write a review again,ever!you act like you’re some kind of critic,but you’re just insulting him.critics just point out what they thought was wrong,they don’t insult them like a 4th grader like you did.you’re pathetic.go die.

I agree with Alesha Shire and Ashley Morgan! Nicholas is amazing, some might hate him, like you do. But duh?! You just wasted a certain amount of time maybe even more than an hour just to type about things you hate.

Nicholas Sparks doesn’t care if you hate him anyway, He probabaly doesn’t know you and he is more famous than you, richer than you because reality check: He is not just a New York times bestseller, He is an International Best-selling Author!! Known all around the world!! Unlike you. I doubt if you’ll ever be successful as him. For mocking him like that.

Haha, yeah, poor James does get a lot of roles where he doesn’t get the girl, but he does have movies where he gets someone in the end it’s just that not a lot of people actually see them, haha. He surprised me in Hairspray and Enchanted.

For the comment mentioned from Celina | December 6, 2007, 3:38 pm, about love, and things like movie love can’t exist, well I for a fact know that, that is not true. Not saying that your a lier or anything, im just saying that I have experienced the “hollywood” love, and it truely was amazing, and it was real not the full hollywood version, but i can say that it was pretty close to the notebook version, except we didn’t die yet. I just bought one of Nicholas Sparks books called “the rescue” and the book is amazing, dude you really dont know what your talking about from the begining. I agree with Ashley Morgan, you cant judge nicholas sparks by the movies. In the last book I read, True Believer, I loved the book!!! Especially since it had an ending that truely was amazing. In the end jermey finds out something that Lexie can’t even believe herself.
