listen. you need to love this band immediately.
oh xangaland!
i’ve been taking a break, but not really on purpose. it just sort of happened, like when you walk out of target with $75 worth of lip gloss and frames when you really just needed contact solution.
i went to a USO dance in fredericksburg at the hangar hotel. i made an appointment at a barbershop and got my hair pin-curled, which made me miss my grandmothers. i would like them to see this picture:

at the dance, henri and i befriended sonny & rachel, a couple in their late 70’s, early 80’s. our conversation began like this:
sarah: “how long have you been at the dance?” (we were late)
sonny: “I’VE BEEN DANCING FOR 72 YEARS!”
rachel: “i don’t think that’s what she asked, dear.”
rachel & sonny met on a train during world war II. they wrote letters for a year and then got married. now they dance together slowly, gently, easily.

work makes me tired, but i’m leaving here soon.
i’m not doing a shift at kvrx this semester cos i can’t handle another 3-5 AM shift (or even 5-7 AM. dude i’m old). but i’ll be subbing sometimes, so i’ll let you know whenever i’ll be on.
i’ve been toying with the idea of moving my blog so that anyone can make comments, but i’m not sure about that. i don’t need to be loyal to xanga, but i do want to be loyal to my friends here.
i want to wear loyalty like perfume.

sonny and rachel are just adorable. i hope that i keep dancing for at least another sixty or seventy years.
