mondays often suck. they are a rude awakening after the weekend. they
are disorientating. and sometimes, they feel like an episode of the
twilight zone.
today’s example (cue twilight zone do-do-do-do theme):

you may ask: posh, what is this?
posh response: ehh… um. i’m hungry.
well, the photo itself was taken at a thresher party (it’s me and my
friend mark) for the purposes of being used on the backpage (we were
the editors at the time). it was subsequently used as a full page
spread in the yearbook (without my permission, btw).
and that, dear readers, was the last time i saw the photo. note: my
eyes were never blacked out. i take full responsibility for drinking
that margarita with mark.
however, today i receive an email through a co-worker of mine who
happens to be friends with a rice alum, matt haynie. matt sends her the
following message:
However, I need you to find out one little thing for me! I was looking
at mash-ups online and randomly stumbled on this online. Ask Sarah how
this happened and let me know by e-mail!
http://culturedeluxe.com/songdesc.asp?id=4420
note: culturedeluxe is a combination of culturelux (a fledgling, some
might say struggling, artist collective that i’m a member of) and my
screen name, posh deluxe. i thought, hmmm.
then i see the picture and realize it is being used as an album cover by some guy that i DO NOT know at all. i thought, WTF?!
how did this happen? how did he even find this picture? his website gives artistic credit to some guy named phuegoo, who i also do not know.
?????
ah internet, i am constantly in awe of yr mysterious and mystical web.
any thoughts? i need to take some nancy drew action!
p.s. i really lurve that traveling wilburys song. and why can’t this lenlow guy even spell their name right?!!
