oh xanga, it has been too long!
i’m sitting here in katrina july’s family abode in connecticut. stella electra is packed to the max and we depart at 6:00 AM tomorrow for austin! (well, with a few stops in between).
i had a marvelous, cosmo-fabulous time with ryan in NYC. of course i’ve been keeping a polaroid journal so i will tell all upon my return (until yr eyes glaze over). the highlights have included: the dia: beacon art collection (viva marfa!), the music of gloria deluxe, encounters with a former ktru dj in brooklyn and two models in the subway (one of whom teaches architecture at rice!!), and a zabar’s picnic in central park (complete with the adorable combination of a sprinkler and shrieking children). and of course a plethora of homestar runner references sprinkled throughout (i even met a friend of ryan’s who is the author of strongbad email 42!).
honestly, i couldn’t have asked for a better adventure… and i’m only halfway through. i’m sure that when katrina and posh hit the road, it can only get more fabulous!
